Do you want to play the Blogging Game

Do you want to play a Blogging game?

Can you not hear some game4 host saying that and Johnny come on down!  I want to make my blogging and emailing fun so I thought of doing quizzes or games. Of course I still need to give good content with the blog, but the gamefication of education and marketing is now a smashing tool so why not blogging?

The content still needs to be relevant , and there’s still a requirement to write in a compelling manner.  As always, everything still needs to relate to the call to action. So here we go with my attempt at all this. I hope you enjoy it!

Blogging Quiz

Give my quiz a go and see how you do. And hey … no peeking!

Let’s see how good you are.  Who was the famous person who said each of these quotes?

1.Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing.

2.There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a
typewriter and bleed.

3.One must be an inventor to read well. There is then creative
reading as well as creative writing.

4.Easy reading is damn hard writing.

5.You know, the process of making a documentary is one of discovery, and
like writing a story, you follow a lead and that leads you to something
else and then by the time you finish, the story is nothing like you
expected.

6.Reduce your plan to writing. The moment you complete this, you will have
definitely given concrete form to the intangible desire.

7.Talking is a hydrant in the yard and writing is a faucet upstairs in the
house. Opening the first takes the pressure off the second.

Choices:

Robert Frost
Napoleon Hill
Benjamin Franklin
Ralph Waldo Emmerson
Ernest Hemingway
William Shatner
Nathaniel Hawthorne

Now that you’ve read the quotes, what’s the common link between them?

The message from all these writers is to just start writing.  Let go the reins of your feelings and let your emotions run free.  By yourself.  State your feelings and passions and let your readers see the real you.  Honestly, this method will cause some people to walk away from your blog because they just don’t agree with you.  BUT… who wants to read a bland, politically correct pile of lukewarm words?  While some will not like what you say, all will appreciate your honesty.  And honesty will attract many, many more people than it drives away.

Where does the gamification fit in to this?  By adding a game, an interesting and fun activity (hopefully!) around the content, you’ll have people reading the details of your work more fully and completely than ever.  They’ll tell their friends in greater numbers too.  What a bonus for all!

Blogging was this Successful?

I’ve tried to add all the elements here:

  • Interesting quotes
  • All those quotes relate to each other AND the theme of the blog
  • All content tied into the call to action

Call to action?  Oh yeah!  Maybe you want to do the same things I am in your own blog.  If so, take a look at the Big Bucks Blogging Blast. It’s gonna make a BIG difference for you.

Now… get out there yourself and START.
